Thiago Heleno
A principal novidade do time é a volta do zagueiro Thiago Heleno.
Confira a provável escalação do Athletico: Santos; Khellven, Pedro Henrique, Thiago Heleno e Abner; Richard, Christian e Jadson; Vitinho, Nikão e Renato Kayzer.

Manchester United are thought to be in pole position to sign a new English gem as Sir Jim Ratcliffe looks to unearth the next big thing at Old Trafford.
Ratcliffe’s Man Utd to-do list
After taking control over sporting decisions, new co-owner Ratcliffe, alongside Sir Dave Brailsford, have got straight to work, bringing in Omar Berrada as CEO from rivals Manchester City.
A sporting director is also wanted at Old Trafford, with Newcastle United’s Dan Ashworth the top target. A decision may also need to be made on manager Erik ten Hag ahead of the 2024/25 season, and there haven’t been a shortage of possible replacements.
At this moment in time, Ten Hag’s future at United appears to be 50/50, with Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi, England boss Gareth Southgate, Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou, Brentford’s Thomas Frank and Wolves head coach Gary O’Neil all linked with a move to the red side of Manchester.
Ratcliffe will also be preparing for his first transfer window at the club, and he has recently hinted that he may not be splashing the cash. Asked about moves for superstars Jude Bellingham or Kylian Mbappe, Ratcliffe said:
“He’s a great footballer (Bellingham) but it’s not where our focus is. The solution isn’t spending a lot of money on a couple of great players. They’ve done that, if you look at the last 10 years. The first thing we need to do is get the right people in the right boxes, managing and organising the club. We must make sure we get recruitment right, such a vital part of running a football club is getting recruitment right, finding new players.”
On the idea of signing Mbappe, who is on course to join Real Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain over the summer, Ratcliffe added:
“I’d rather find the next Mbappe, rather than spend a fortune to buy success. It’s not that clever to buy Mbappe, anybody could figure that one out.”
Possibly looking to invest at youth level, it appears as if the Red Devils are keen on an up and coming English attacker.
Man Utd leading chase to sign Baylee Dipepa
According to The Sun, Man Utd and Ratcliffe are ‘leading the chase’ to sign Port Vale teenager Baylee Dipepa. Those at Old Trafford are keen to do business soon, with Ratcliffe and co looking to unveil the next Mbappe instead of throwing money around.
Dipepa, just 17 years of age, has enjoyed a breakthrough season in League One with Port Vale, scoring two goals and providing two assists in 16 third-tier games.
He netted a brilliant solo goal on Good Friday against Bristol Rovers and prior to that, scored in both Euro qualifier appearances for England Under-17s.
A move over the coming months could therefore be one to keep an eye on, and it looks as if the Red Devils are currently in a good position to seal a deal.

Buttler aimed an expletive-laden rant at Philander during the final day of England’s Test at Newlands

Jos Buttler has escaped serious punishment for his expletive-laden sledging towards Vernon Philander on the final day of England’s Test against South Africa at Newlands.Stump microphones picked up and broadcast Buttler calling Philander a “f***ing knobhead” after the bowler stood his ground rather than get out the way of a return throw from Joe Root at mid-off, before adding “get past that f***ing gut”, an apparent reference to Philander’s weight. Sky Sports apologised on-air for the outburst shortly after it was broadcast. But Buttler was only found to have breached Article 2.3 (Use of an audible obscenity) of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, rather than Article 2.13 (Personal abuse of a player).Buttler was fined 15 percent of his match fee and handed one demerit point, but would have been in line for a more severe sentence if the umpires had judged his conduct to have constituted “language of a personal, insulting, obscene and/or offensive nature” directed at Philander. The incident was played down by Joe Root after the game.”I don’t think it was anything serious,” Root said. “It was just two guys playing hard Test cricket. Emotions were running quite high and I don’t think anyone overstepped the mark. You want a bit of spice on the TV anyway, don’t you?”Buttler admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by Andy Pycroft of the Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees, meaning there was no need for a formal hearing. He was given one demerit point and an official reprimand in October 2016 following a confrontation with Mashrafe Mortaza and Sabbir Rahman, but that offence was committed more than 24 months ago, meaning it has been wiped from his disciplinary record.Level 1 breaches carry a minimum penalty of an official reprimand, a maximum penalty of 50 percent of a player’s match fee, and one or two demerit points.
Liverpool and FSG are interested in signing a "special" new defender in the summer transfer window – one who is enjoying a fantastic season for his current club.
Liverpool transfer news
The Reds have been linked with so many players of late, with Michael Edwards, Richard Hughes and the rest of the recruitment team this summer keen on bringing in the right players for Jurgen Klopp's replacement.
Another centre-back wouldn't go amiss, considering Joel Matip's expected departure will open up a place in the squad, and highly-rated young Juventus centre-back Dean Huijsen has emerged as a reported target. Only 18 years of age, he has already made 12 appearances in Serie A on loan at Roma this season, averaging two clearances per game.
Another hugely exciting prospect in Joao Neves has also been backed to seal a summer move to Liverpool, with the Benfica midfielder arguably one of the most impressive young players in his position in Europe currently. The 19-year-old is even more of a regular than Huijsen, featuring 27 times in the Primeira Liga in 2023/24, 22 of which have been starts.
Joao Neves for Benfica
Real Madrid star Rodrygo is another rumoured option for the Reds at the end of the season, although the European giants are reluctant to sell arguably one of their most prized players, even if Kylian Mbappe arrives from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
Liverpool want to sign "special" player
According to a new claim from Football Insider, Liverpool and FSG are eyeing a summer move for Jeremie Frimpong, seeing the Bayer Leverkusen ace as a "bargain" option due to a £35m release clause existing in his current contract.

Manchester United are believed to be providing competition for their rivals, however, with Arsenal also seen as potential suitors, amid strong interest from England.

Frimpong is enjoying a superb season with Leverkusen, proving to be one of his side's most important players in their relentless march towards Bundesliga glory. Primarily being used as a right wing-back by Xabi Alonso, the Dutchman has eight goals and seven assists to his name in the competition since August.
His manager has been full of praise for him too: "He has a very big impact on our game. He is a very good player, but for me is even a special player. It is logical that Louis Van Gaal gives him the chance because he is a difference player."
Eventually, Liverpool are going to have to find a long-term replacement for the end product provided by Mohamed Salah, and while it would not be a like for like swap, Frimpong's production could help fill the void.
Klopp must unleash Liverpool's £86m-rated star over Nunez
This could be one of the biggest opportunities of the season for this player, who must take it.
ByAngus Sinclair Apr 4, 2024
He is a young player who has so much time to improve, and while not used as a forward at Leverkusen, he has shown that he has the attacking quality to move further up the pitch or chip in with goals and assists from the back.

He will fly out on Sunday for Wellington where the first Test begins on February 21
ESPNcricinfo staff15-Feb-2020

Fast bowler Ishant Sharma has cleared his fitness test at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and is set to join the India squad in New Zealand for the two-Test series. ESPNcricinfo understands Sharma will fly out on Sunday and join the squad in Wellington, the venue of the first Test starting February 21. The BCCI is yet to issue a release on Sharma’s update though.Sharma had injured his right ankle during a Ranji Trophy game against defending champions Vidarbha nearly a month ago and had been looking doubtful for the Test series in New Zealand, having been advised six weeks’ rest with a grade three tear. He later went to the NCA for rehab and was named in the Test squad subject to clearing his fitness. Sharma will join Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav and Navdeep Saini in the pace attack. Sharma was also the leading wicket-taker the last time India toured New Zealand, in 2013-14, with 15 scalps from two Tests, and the only bowler to claim two five-fors in the series. Sharma has been the leader of India’s pace attack in Tests in recent years, helping the team strengthen their grip at the top of the ICC rankings, and taking all 360 points in the ongoing World Test Championship. He has been India’s second-highest wicket-taker since the beginning of the 2017-18 season, only behind Shami, with 74 wickets from 19 matches at an average of 20.17 and strike rate of 43.7. He has played 96 Tests so far and could reach three digits in Australia later this year, subject to form and fitness.
Jurgen Klopp knows that his Liverpool side must beat Everton on Wednesday evening if they are to stand a fighting chance of winning the Premier League this season.
Liverpool got back on track against Fulham last weekend with a hard-worked and well-deserved victory at Craven Cottage in the Premier League, but the Merseyside derby will present a test of a different volume.
Having suffered a damaging blip in recent fixtures, exiting the FA Cup and Europa League and ceding ground in the title race following points dropped at Old Trafford and Anfield – against Crystal Palace – Manchester City have reclaimed pole position as they chase down an unprecedented fourth successive Premier League trophy.
Diogo Jota has been ruled out for around a fortnight after injuring himself after scoring against the Cottagers, while Conor Bradley remains on the sidelines with an ankle issue and Joel Matip, Thiago Alcantara and Ben Doak are still long-term absentees.
Still, Klopp rung the changes at the weekend and he can now recall some fresh legs against Everton, with a whopping five tweaks likely to be made.
1 GK – Alisson
Alisson Becker.
Caoimhin Kelleher has been excellent between the sticks this season, with Alisson spending portions out injured, but it's brilliant to have the Brazilian shot-stopper back for the final stretch.
He's the best goalkeeper in the Premier League and has been described as "world-class" by his manager.
2 RB – Trent Alexander-Arnold
Trent Alexander-Arnold for Liverpool
The same can be said for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who certainly made his presence known at Craven Cottage on his first start in the Premier League following injury, nonchalantly curling home a delightful free-kick to open his team's account. More of the same this evening, please Trent.
3 CB – Ibrahima Konate
Liverpool Ibrahima Konate
When Joel Matip's season ended prematurely in December after the Cameroonian ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament, a frisson of fears surged through the Reds fanbase, but Ibrahima Konate has proved himself over recent months.
While he's capable of a poor performance, the towering France international blends power and pace with technical quality and the result is wonderful.
4 CB – Virgil van Dijk
Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk
Virgil van Dijk loves a Merseyside derby but he will have to have his wits about him against an Everton side that would delight in spoiling Liverpool's swansong under Klopp's tutelage.
The Dutch skipper has been a domineering force in the rearguard this season and his strength and spirit will spur his team into action – in what will be a hostile cacophony on Merseyside's blue side.
5 LB – Andy Robertson
Liverpool defender Andy Robertson
Andy Robertson has had his detractors this term but he's been largely fantastic since returning from shoulder surgery in January and will now be hoping to start his fourth successive top-flight clash.
He's the complete package at left-back and will be crucial to establishing fluency against the Toffees.
6 DM – Wataru Endo
Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo
The Liverpool Echo's Ian Doyle handed Wataru Endo an 8/10 match rating after a confident showing against Fulham, growing in influence after a shaky start.
He does the basics expertly, recycling possession and swiftly pushing the play forward, often finding his fellow centre-midfielders, whose creative capacities provide the standard goalscorers with requisite fuel.
More on them now…
7 CM – Dominik Szoboszlai
Dominik Szoboszlai scores for Liverpool
Dominik Szoboszlai signed for Liverpool from RB Leipzig last summer after his £60m release clause was met, and while he started life in England with resounding success, there has been much to be desired during recent efforts.

Still, the skilful Hungarian has been afflicted by injury and remains a high-energy star with a ferocious strike. He will need to put in a shift against Everton following great games from Harvey Elliott and Ryan Gravenberch on Sunday.
8 CM – Alexis Mac Allister
Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.
Alexis Mac Allister has been one of the signings of the season, not just at Liverpool, but in the Premier League. Liverpool's midfield was ruined and rusty last year but he has been the architect of the resurgence, pumping glimmering quality into the engine.
As per FBref, the 2022 World Cup winner ranks among the top 8% of midfielders across Europe's top five leagues over the past year for assists, the top 14% for shot-creating actions, the top 10% for passes attempted, the top 14% for progressive passes and the top 11% for tackles per 90.
Talk about the full package…
9 RW – Mohamed Salah
Mohamed Salah against Atalanta
In the reverse fixture, Mohamed Salah scored both goals as Liverpool defeated their neighbours at Anfield, with his late brace keeping the momentum in the early title scramble.
The Egyptian, while one of the Premier League's superlative forwards, has not been at the races recently – failing to even earn a start against Fulham – and he simply has to rekindle his attacking verve if Liverpool are to prevail against Manchester City and Arsenal in the weeks to come.
10 LW – Luis Diaz
Liverpool winger Luis Diaz.
Against Fulham, Luis Diaz didn't steal the limelight but he worked doggedly to help his team clinch three points. Often wasteful but invariably dangerous, the Colombian's pace and trickery will be key to victory later on.
