We were miles off the pace, if I’m honest. I just felt we had the momentum coming into today, but finals are finals and you never quite know. “That is as good as I’ve seen her play, and for England that is a massive highlight,” Edwards said of Kemp. “Once she gets bowling again, she will be one of the best allrounders in the world.”I just prepare the team as best I can. If we’d lost today, it wouldn’t have made me a good or bad coach; that’s what coaching is about – preparing the players and hopefully getting the reward for the players when they do well like that. It is something special. It has been a special year for this group; the squad and all the playing staff have dug so deep just to get us to this position. To go straight through to the final, we couldn’t even believe that. She treats everyone as individuals. The first semi-final of the 2023 ODI World Cup, between India and New Zealand in Mumbai on Wednesday afternoon, will be played on a used pitch that has already staged two matches in the tournament.ESPNcricinfo understands the semi-final was initially supposed to be played on Pitch 7, the central strip of the Wankhede Stadium’s pitch block. Pitch 7 is a fresh surface that was not used in the league stage of the World Cup.But a decision was made to shift the game to Pitch 6, which is slightly off-centre and has already hosted two matches in the tournament: South Africa’s 229-run win over England on October 21, and India’s 302-run victory over Sri Lanka on November 2.The change represents a late deviation from the pitch allocation devised before the World Cup. A source told ESPNcricinfo: “6-8-6-8-7 was the planned rotation at Wankhede. 6-8-6-8 is what has been used so far.”After the semi-final had begun, the ICC released a statement saying the change was not unusual. “Changes to planned pitch rotations are common towards the end of an event of this length, and has already happened a couple of times. This change was made on the recommendation of the venue curator in conjunction with our host. The ICC independent pitch consultant was apprised of the change and has no reason to believe the pitch won’t play well.”According to the ICC’s Playing Conditions for the World Cup, the relevant ‘ground authority’ is “responsible for the selection and preparation of the pitch” before any given match – in this case, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). The ICC also have an independent pitch consultant, Andy Atkinson, who works alongside local groundstaff.The Daily Mail reported that Atkinson has become frustrated by changes to pre-agreed plans throughout the World Cup, and that he speculated in a leaked email whether the pitch for the final in Ahmedabad on Sunday “will be the first ever ICC CWC final to have a pitch which has been specifically chosen and prepared to their stipulation at the request of the team management and/or the hierarchy of the home nation board.”Should India make the final in Ahmedabad, they would face either Australia or South Africa. Pat Cummins put his faith in the ICC to oversee the pitch process.”Yeah, I saw that [the report]…obviously ICC have an independent pitch curator who manages that so I’m sure they are all over making sure it’s fair for both teams,” he said. “So far this tournament [on pitches] that we’ve played on I’ve not seen any issue.”There is no ICC requirement which states that knockout fixtures must be played on fresh pitches. The only stipulation in their Pitch and Outfield Monitoring Process reads: “It is expected that venues that are allocated the responsibility of hosting a match will present the best possible pitch and outfield conditions for that match.”The semi-finals of the 2019 ODI World Cup, in England four years ago, were both played on fresh pitches at Old Trafford and Edgbaston. But last year, both T20 World Cup semi-finals were played on used pitches: one at Adelaide Oval, the other at the Sydney Cricket Ground.Both India and New Zealand players inspected the pitch at the Wankhede from close quarters on Tuesday evening before it was covered by groundstaff early during India’s training session under floodlights.

Tivemos várias oportunidades. No segundo tempo, Fluminense cresceu bastante, deixamos um espaço entre os zagueiros. Achei que o Patrick estava desgastado, não estava conseguindo se recompor. Galoppo entrou para fazer a mesma função – disse.

Ceni, porém, reconheceu um desgaste mental no elenco após o primeiro gol de Cano. Para ele, esse ponto foi o grande responsável pelo resultado negativo fora de casa, destacando que também não foi uma exceção, mas que em outras ocasiões, a força psicológica também pesou.

Segundo o treinador, o elenco precisa se recompor porque a busca pela vaga na Libertadores segue viva. Na terça-feira (8), às 21h30, encontra o Internacional no Morumbi pela penúltima rodada do Brasileirão.

– Tomamos gol no primeiro minuto, acho que quando sofremos um gol, precisamos ficar mais forte psicologicamente. Precisamos de mais força mental. Não era esperado, era um lance que poderíamos ter evitado. Não podemos nos abater tanto, abaixar tanto a cabeça – disse.

– Conversei rápido, vamos treinar amanhã pela manhã. O espaço é curto para terça-feira. Falei para eles que precisamos ter força mental. Viramos jogos no Morumbi, mas fora de casa isso acontece às vezes. Não podemos ceder ao adversário com um baque logo no início do segundo tempo – completou.

Dravid said they weren’t asking the young batters to alter the game but to be aware of match situations.”We encourage the players to play the way they feel most comfortable in,” Dravid said. “In the end, you are judged by the results you produce. The guys know that, they understand that. We want to encourage them to play in the way that they play, but also keeping in view the conditions and keeping certain sort of tactical things that you have to be aware of when you play in South Africa. The nature of the ball and how that behaves over the course of 80 overs and the kind of shots you can play may be in the early part of innings vis-a-vis what you might be able to do later on.”I think there’s a balance between finding that, just having the cricket smarts and to read a game and to understand the situation and play according to the situation. But of course, allowing yourself to express yourself. So certainly, we’ve got guys who do play their shots and we are not going to hold them back, and we are going to allow them to express themselves, and hopefully they’ll make some smart decisions when the situation arrives.”

Uma fonte ouvida pelo L! admitiu que é uma situação pela qual Gatito não quer passar.E há motivos para se preocupar. Arboleda, Bustos, Ferraresi e Calleri possuem contrato para iniciar 2023 no Tricolor. Emprestado pelo Nacional de Montevidéu, Gabriel Neves terá a cláusula de compra exercida pela equipe do Morumbi. Ou seja, dos gringos, apenas Colorado pode deixar o São Paulo, deixando a equipe com o limite de cinco estrangeiros.

De todos os gringos são-paulinos, Arboleda preenche os requisitos legais para pedir a naturalização brasileira ordinária. Está no Tricolor desde 2017, ou seja, mora no país há mais de quatro anos, o principal requisito legal. Também se comunica com fluência em português e não possui condenação penal.

São Paulo e Arboleda conversaram sobre o assunto no início do ano. E o camisa 5 se mostrou favorável. Esse, inclusive, foi um dos fatores nas negociações para renovação de seu contrato até o fim de 2024. O processo, rápido, de cerca de 15 dias, não afetaria suas convocações para o selecionado do Equador.

O curioso é que Gatito, alvo são-paulino para ser titular do gol no ano que vem, também atende os mesmos requisitos. Só no Botafogo está desde 2017, mas jogou antes por Vitória e Figueirense.

Cameron Bancroft added a half-century to his impressive tally of runs this season but both he and Marcus Harris missed the opportunity for a substantial score in their bid for an Australia Test recall on the second day of the tour game against Pakistan in Canberra.The opening pair, plus Matt Renshaw who is at No. 3 for the Prime Minister’s XI, are in a tussle to replace David Warner when he retires from Test cricket in January although the next opener may yet come from outside of those three.Renshaw and Cameron Green, who is set to be part of the discussions for the future shape of Australia’s top order, were unbeaten at stumps with a chance to make a mark on the third day in what remain docile conditions.”It’s a good debate,” Harris, who fell for 49, said of a potential batting order reshuffle. “You’d have to ask [the selectors] what they want to do. It’s up to them. Opening the batting is not the easiest thing in the world but they’ve probably got a bit of time before they have to make that decision. It’s up to them.”Harris, who holds a Cricket Australia contract, played the most recent of his 14 Tests against England last January before being dropped following Usman Khawaja’s stunning return. A game earlier he had made 76 in tough conditions at the MCG.”I feel like I’ve had seven or eight years of good cricket,” he said. “Probably ever since I’ve moved to Victoria feel like I’ve proven myself enough, especially in domestic cricket, whether or not in international cricket that’s up for debate and other people’s opinion. My game feels in good order, I’ve felt really good probably the last month.”Bancroft’s half-century came from 124 balls – his scoring rate could yet become a factor in the Test considerations – before he was lbw to Khurram Shahzad who got one to nip back.Of Pakistan’s bowlers, allrounder Aamer Jamal produced a bustling spell either side of tea which created a few uncomfortable moments while left-armer Hamza’s second spell provided some threat.Earlier, the morning session had largely been the story of Masood raising his third first-class double-century from 295 balls to leave him in good heart ahead of the Test series.”It’s always nice to spend some valuable time in the middle,” Masood said. “Obviously conditions are a bit different but a sign of good players and good teams is how you adapt to different conditions. Each ground, each opposition has a different challenge.”Jordan Buckingham completed a five-wicket haul, the third of his young career, when he had Hamza fending to leg gully having also claimed his third scalp down the leg side when Jamal nicked a glance.

وأضاف المصدر، أن مدرب ليفربول، آرني سلوت، يفكر في ضم لويز وإعطاء عمق أكبر للفريق في خط الوسط والذي يضم دومينيك سوبوسلاي، ريان جرافينبيرش، أليكسيس ماك أليستير ، كورتيس جونز وواتارو إندو.
