Manchester City are front runners for the Premier League and FA Cup titles, with the former set to be their fourth consecutive top-flight league trophy if they can hold off their title rivals.

And off-the-pitch, City manager Pep Guardiola and his star players were seen in an interesting and catchy new commercial for Etihad Airways.

The recently released video features star players like Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Ederson, Rodri, Bernardo Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, Nathan Ake and Erling Haaland.

The video showcases Abu Dhabi’s new Zayed International Airport, which is the home and hub of Etihad Airways.

The commercial follows an Emirati boy, an ardent football fan who adores Man City, as he moves through the world-class airport with his father. He is watching a video of Guardiola talking about how football must be fun when he spots the Man City players and Guardiola himself walking through the airport.

The boy ends up knocking down a pyramid of footballs showcased at the airport despite one of the City players asking him not to. What follows is a sweeping video that takes us through a glittering airport with City players rallying to retrieve the footballs that have cascaded all over the airport.

Much like how they sweep opponents off their feet with stunning control and mesmerising moves, City players go on to build the pyramid back up again with the retrieved balls, some with the help of passersby and even Etihad Airways staff.

Poetically, it is Man City’s star striker Haaland who gets the final ball and essays his finishing touch on the pyramid. Right on time for the team’s Etihad Airways flight to Manchester.

The video is part of the launch of the new Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi and showcases the facility in all its glory.

With Man City stars shown balling, interspersed with absolutely breathtaking visuals of the airport, the video tries to highlight the airport’s tagline: ‘You have to see it to believe it’.

Celtic could be set to sanction the sale of one of their senior players next year, with the star himself admitting that he may be tempted to leave should his game time not improve ahead of January.

The Scottish Premiership side will have Joe Hart, Scott Bain and David Turnbull reaching the expiration of their deals at the end of the season (Celtic contracts), so there’s a chance that they could also be heading for the exit door in January.

Furthermore, Rodgers may additionally be losing Mikey Johnston, with the left-winger spending last season on loan at Vitoria Guimaraes having fallen in the manager’s pecking order (Transfermarkt – Johnston statistics).

Mikey Johnston drops exit hint

Speaking to The Daily Record, Johnston admitted that he could leave Celtic should he not be able to nail down a place in the squad under Rodgers before January.

He said: "No player is going to be happy when they're not playing. Ultimately, it's up to me and I need to try and force my way into that team. I have until January to do that and I will try and give it everything to do that, but we just have to see what happens.

"I’ve not spoken to the manager much in the last sort of month, we've had chats here and there. It's tough decisions for the manager to make and ultimately it's up to me.”

Johnston's "excellent" style of play

Whilst Celtic haven’t given Johnston a fair chance to prove what he’s capable of this season, he’s been showing the potential he’s got since the start of his career having clocked up 36 contributions (19 goals and 17 assists) in 126 appearances.

The Glasgow-born talent also has the versatility to operate across the frontline and as an attacking midfielder, so he’s an extremely useful option for Rodgers to have in the building should he ever need to provide cover in other positions.

Parkhead’s “excellent” attacker, as hailed by journalist Josh Bunting, has seen the club secure 11 trophies during his time on the books so he will possess a fantastic winning mentality and desire to achieve, meaning that the boss should perhaps retain his services and give him more of an opportunity moving forward.

وتضمن الخطاب تأهل كل من يسري سامي وزن 60 كجم، وعبد الرحمن عبد الغني وزن 81 كجم، من خلال الكوتة القارية.

ويخوض منتخب مصر للجودو معسكرًا مُغلقًا في اليابان خلال الفترة الحالية، بقيادة المدير الفني إيزومي هيروشي، استعدادًا للأولمبياد.

ومن جانبه، أكد مرزوق علي، رئيس الاتحاد المصري للجودو، على أن المنتخب يخوض استعدادات قوية من أجل تحقيق نتائج جيدة خلال مشاركته في أولمبياد باريس، وأن معسكر اليابان سيضيف الكثير للاعبين على المستوى الفني والبدني.

وشدد على أن الجودو المصري ليس ببعيد عن تحقيق المفاجأة في الأولمبياد، وأن اللاعبين المصريين باتت لديهم خبرات اللعب على المستوى الدولي، مشيرًا إلى أن المنافسات الأولمبية هي الأصعب على جميع المستويات.

واختتم: “هدفنا الذي نعمل من أجله هو حصد ميدالية للجودو المصري في أولمبياد لوس أنجلوس 2028، ولكن هذا لا يمنع إمكانية تحقيق إنجاز في أولمبياد باريس 2024، من خلال العزيمة والإصرار”.

Colin Bland, the Bulawayo-born allrounder who played 21 Tests for South Africa between 1961 and 1966, died at his home in London on Saturday night, aged 80. Bland suffered from colon cancer for several years.Bland played first-class cricket for Rhodesia, including fixtures against New Zealand in 1961. He impressed with an innings of 98, and was subsequently included in South Africa’s Test squad. He played all five Tests against New Zealand at home that year, without significant results with the bat, but he showed off the fielding he became best-known for. In later years, Jonty Rhodes’ speed and agility was compared with Bland’s, and his groundwork was a major reason for his selection for the 1963-64 tour to Australia.According to the , Bland “demonstrated that fielding can be both a delight and an exhilarating spectacle through scientific precision.”He did not play the opening Test in Brisbane, but featured in the next four. In the final Test in Sydney, Bland scored his maiden Test hundred to help South Africa take a healthy first-innings lead, and draw the match as well as the series 1-1. He struck his second and final hundreds against England, the latter of those in what would become his penultimate Test, in 1965. His second-innings 127 at The Oval again contributed to a draw, but South Africa’s victory at Nottingham in the second Test gave them their first series win in England. Bland was named Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1966.The following summer, he was part of the victorious squad that played in the 1966-67 home series against Australia. He only played in the first Test in Johannesburg, where he severely damaged his left knee after crashing into a boundary board. The injury ended his international career.He continued playing for Rhodesia, and captained and coached them. In 1969, Bland moved to Port Elizabeth, where he played first-class cricket until he accepted a job as cricket and hockey coach at the University of Free State in 1971. Bland played cricket for Free State until 1973. After his playing days, Bland ventured into some coaching in cricket and squash. After his relocation to the UK, he continued to coach, and as recently as 2004, was hired by the MCC as a fielding coach.

Leeds United have a number of injured players at the moment and there could be a new concern at Elland Road, according to an update from reliable journalist Phil Hay.

Who is injured for Leeds?

The Whites have made a stuttering start to their Championship campaign, having arguably gone into the new season as one of the favourites to earn promotion to the Premier League, possessing plenty of quality in their squad.

On Saturday afternoon, Daniel Farke's side could only draw 0-0 at home to local rivals Sheffield Wednesday, however, giving the Owls their first point of the season in the process. It means that Leeds only have picked up six points from their opening five league games of 2023/24, winning just once in the process, which is undoubtedly a disappointing return.

While some of the performances haven't been good enough, the Whites do at least have the excuse of having numerous players sidelined through injury at the moment. Patrick Bamford is one of those, as he continues to struggle with fitness problems, while the likes of Sam Byram and Dan James are also absent currently alongside Liam Cooper and Stuart Dallas.

Now, a new player appears to have picked up a fresh issue, following a key claim that has emerged from a reliable source.

Is Leeds youngster Archie Gray injured?

Taking to X, Hay confirmed that Archie Gray won't be heading off with England's Under-19s on international duty due to a 'minor fitness concern'.

"Archie Gray not going away with England's U19s. Leeds United withdrawing him from the squad because of a minor fitness concern. Tyring to manage his load and make sure he's fit for Millwall. Played in every game so far this season."

Gray, dubbed "sensational" against Ipswich Town recently, is a hugely exciting talent at Leeds who has already become a regular at the age of just 17, already starting five Championship matches this season. In that time, he has averaged 1.4 tackles per game in the competition and has enjoyed a 93.3% pass completion rate across two EFL Cup appearances, making his presence felt in the middle of the park.

This is, therefore, a worrying update for the Whites, with the hope being that the club are just being careful, not wanting him to potentially aggravate a minor issue while on international duty. If he can rest during the upcoming break from domestic action, he will hopefully be available for his side's next league game, which comes away to Millwall on September 17th.

Gray's quality as a player has been outlined by former Liverpool midfielder and current Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp, who once said of him:

"Archie Gray, 15 years of age, has travelled with the Leeds squad today. He is going to be a tremendous young player, from the famous Gray family."

To be such a regular player at just 17 years of age says so much about the teenager's potential as a footballer, with a combined 18 caps for England at youth team level further highlighting his pedigree and ceiling, having won one, eight and nine caps for the Three Lions' Under-15s, Under-16s and Under-18s respectively.

To see him miss a chunk of action would be another blow, but Hay's update does suggest that the injury shouldn't be anything too serious.
